Up for a (24-hour) swim?

Mandy Loots and I are really pleased to be supporting Swimming SA’s 24 Hour Swimathon 2010.

The Swimming SA 24-Hour Swimathon 2010 is a fundraising event uniting swimming adults, children and celebrities in a mass participation event to raise money for the “Learn to Swim” Programme.

We’re also hoping that the event will be listed in the Guinness World Records for having the most swimmers involved in a 24-hour swim relay.

With over 4000 swimmers of all abilities each having to complete the 20 metre length of the swimming pool in order to keep the Guinness World Record™ attempt on course, the fund-raising exercise will be a major boost for the funding of the “Learn to Swim” Programme with each swimmers entered at R20.

And don’t forget your SwimSeal™.

I will be participating on Friday at 16:00 – I look forward to seeing you there!

Ryk

A quick catch-up…

Hi everyone. I hope you all had a wonderful break over December and managed to spend lots of time in the water with SwimSeal™. The much awaited 2010 is finally here and I wish you a happy and prosperous New Year. As mentioned, 2010 has kicked off with much expectation, more so I believe than the millennium generated, and the energy and excitement can be felt throughout the country. It’s not just soccer fans and players who are in for a great year; summer still has a few months to go and for swimmers and other water sports fans there’s still plenty of time to enjoy going into the water. If you are going to spend time in the water, don’t forget to apply SwimSeal™ before diving in. Congratulations to all the winners of SwimSeal™ hampers; I’m sure that the prizes helped you get off to an even better start this year. With that, I’m off to the pool! Don’t forget to share your comments or experiences in the water with me, right here on swimseal.co.za. I wave you good-bye for now.

Hi, Ryk here. Welcome to the brand new SwimSeal website and my latest blog which I’ll be updating regularly. I may not be a medical expert but I do know a thing or two about swimming and going into the water. Between the SwimSeal experts and myself we’re going to be here to answer all your questions regarding how best to protect yourself (especially your ears) when going into the water as well as answering general questions you may have regarding all forms of water sports. I look forward to hearing from you. In the meanwhile don’t hold back, go on and spend more time in the water, with SwimSeal!
